NOTD: Essie's Sunday Funday

On my nails today I am wearing a color I just recently picked up from the new Essie summer collection. Sunday Funday is a gorgeous coraly pink with a very subtle silver shimmer throughout.

Normally I prefer cream polishes but the color just looked so fun and bright! It is the perfect summer color. It took me two coats to reach full opacity.

I am one that has a love hate relationship with Essie. I find that the formulation isn't good, yet the colors are AMAZING! So I can never resist. Although I LOVED the formulation of this one!

Overall this is a great color and I definitely recommend picking one up as soon as you see it since i'm not sure how much longer this collection will be available.

The topcoat I used was Sally Hansens Complete Salon Manicure Cleared for Takeoff.

Best of the Drugstore: Eyeshadow

Hey everyone! I've decided to start a new series called Best of the Drugstore. This will feature different categories such as lip, face, mascara, and primer products. Today I will be showing you some of the best eyeshadows available at the drugstore.

Wet n Wild Trio in Walking on Eggshells:
This trio can be easily purchased at any drugstore. This retails for $2.99 (though I bought mine on sale for $1.99)

The colors in here are so pigmented. They all work great together for a simple eye look. These are probably the best powder eyeshadows that the drugstore has to offer

Loreal Colour Riche Eyeshadows in Amber Rush and Bronzed Taupe:
These eyeshadows are SUPER pigmented. They have a very soft almost creamy texture that applies easily to the lids. These retail for about $8 so they are rather expensive for a drugstore eyeshadow but well worth it.

My two favorites are Amber Rush which is a gorgeous rose gold color...

and Bronzed Taupe which is a cool toned ashy brown that looks great when paired with Amber Rush.

These eyeshadow are very similar to a pressed pigment. I think these are the most pigmented eyeshadow that exist at the drugstore.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze and Pomegranate Punk:
These cream eyeshadow retail for around $6. These are easy to blend and they have some amazing colors.

My favorite is Bad to the Bronze which is a warm toned bronze. This is a great everyday eyeshadow. I love using this for school when I want a really quick yet simple eye look. I like to focus this color into the outer corner and crease and blend towards the inner part of the eye.

Another color I love to use for the fall and winter time is Pomegranate Punk. This is a gorgeous burgundy color with gold shimmer. I love wear this one in the outer corner as well and a gold shade on the inner part of the lid.

NYX Jumbo Shadow Pencil in Yogurt:
You can find a wide variety of these at any Ulta and a few Targets. These retail for  about $5.

Yogurt is a really pretty champagne-y pink-y color with a gorgeous sheen to it. I love wearing this color on the lid with a light matte brown in the crease (Buck by Urban Decay). Although with this product you definitely want a primer underneath as these can crease and fade easily when by themselves.

So this concludes my favorite drugstore eyeshadows. Let me know if you want me to do more of these in the comment section. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading!

Review: Baby Lips Electro

As many of you know I am a fan of the Maybelline Baby Lips, so when I heard about the new line coming out, thanks to Nouveau Cheap, I was freaking out to say the least! This new line features 5 new colors, although I am unsure whether or not these are limited edition or part of the permanent collection.

The colors that are featured in this collection are neons. You may also notice that the tubes are black. I personally love the new packaging.

The color I picked up was Strike a Rose. This is a really fun neony coral. I thought this color was really fun for this time of the year.

This is actually rather pigmented for being a tinted lip balm.

I have rather pigmented lips yet the color really does show up really well on the lips.

Price~ around $4 each
Packaging~ I love the new packaging and think that it is a nice change
Wear~ these at the most get about an hour of wear, these are also rather greasy feeling on the lips
Scent~ these have a rasberry lemonade scent which I love

Overall this is a great color and has wonderful pigmentation though these are rather greasy and do not last too long though they are easy to reapply throughout the day. I think that if you are on the fence about these to just try them because they are great for this time of year.

Thanks for reading and feel free to leave suggestions in the comment section, they are very much appreciated!
